The Infirmary displays artefacts from the collection of the George Marshall Medical Museum and the wider collection holds several primary source material including: oral histories, photographs and documents. 

The Infirmary is always happy to facilitate visits for visiting researchers and students (of all ages), and have in the past assisted a variety of groups and individuals from pharmaceutical companies, to Key Stage 2 school students!

Research Placements can be offered for student research and work placements opportunities in a range of areas from history and heritage studies to supporting the work of The Infirmary in areas such as visitor research and marketing.  

The Infirmary also offers volunteering opportunities for adults, students at GCSE, and students in further and higher education. Volunteers currently help with collections care and documentation, learning programme development, school visits, open days and events, marketing and administration.
